I actually got to see this in person. I stood in the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands 12 inches from this picture and it moved me beyond words. I never "got" it before that moment. Prints or digital photos will never do it justice, but seeing the layers of paint and brush strokes was almost overpowering and brought tears to my eyes.
